PAINTING THE BOARD BACKROUND

I used this board from Dollar Tree – It is a 4″ x 18″ so it is a great size for projects like these!

I used the vintage white, aqua, teal and the look at me blue. I put a large amount of the vintage white and dabbed a little of each of the blues with my paint brush and started painting them on with an up and down motion with the paint brush.

I added a little more of the darker blue to the bottom and painted up. Naturally there would be the darker blue at the bottom because of the shadowing.

I also used some darker at the top and painted down. This gave the whole board some really pretty dimension.

When I blended the blues together I just blended with a few strokes as apposed to too much or it would blend it too much together.

PAINTING THE BUNNY

You can start out by using pencil for this to draw the ears and body. I drew the ears but started with my paint brush. Whatever you are most comfortable with will be good.

Then I filled in using the mix of the two browns – Real Brown and the Cafe Latte Brown
Next I drew the head. Again you can use a pencil for this and then paint over it. I used the same colors. So, you can start with the lighter brown and accent with the darker around the edges to give it dimension and blend in to your liking.
Next, the body. The body will be a larger more rectangle circle.
I left a little space at the bottom so I could paint tulips and grass. You can fill in the bunny back with the same brown painting techniques as you painted for the head.

Next I added a little of the vintage white on my brush to the top where the light would hit it. Again, this is giving it a little dimension and realistic look.

THE BUNNY TAIL

Using the vintage white I used a thicker brush and painted a circle using a pouncing motion.

Then I took some of the darker brown and added a little bit with the same pouncing motion for variety of color in the tail.

The TULIPS

I used the 3 pinks and paint leaf shapes for the tulips. 2 together give the perfect tulip look!

I added four all around him. Then used the 2 greens for the grass. I started with the darker green and then came back for dimension with the lighter green.

This adds the perfect touch to the bunny!

and he is finished!!

I found some cute blue and white gingham ribbon that I had on hand to tie the top of the board for hanging.
