Instantly Brighten Your Front Porch with these few Spring Front Porch Tips!

Spring is the time of year when the world is coming to life again after a long winter. And as the flowers start to bloom, nothing is better than sitting outside and taking in the beauty of the newly blooming season. In this blog post, we’ll explore some ideas for sprucing up your front porch for the spring season that will make it the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine and vibrant colors of nature. Read on to find out how to create the perfect spring front porch.

Choosing the Right Color Scheme

For my front porch I ALWAYS LOVE COLOR! Because I have a neutral gray house so I can pretty much put any colors with it. I normally go with the pink flower colors but this year I went a different route but still so bright and beautiful!

I picked out a wreath off Amazon that had all the Spring colors and something that was bright and bold enough for my front door so it would pop from the road.

I love this wreath and get so many compliments on it front the mail lady to friends that stop by. You can find the link to the wreath here.

I have to say the picture on Amazon does not do it justice. It is so much prettier and full in person. I usually go with brighter pinks because I feel like it matches the gray shake so well on the front of my house so this pop of yellow was a nice change and accent for the gray on my house.

Then I chose this black and white Buffalo plaid rug base that I change out with just about every season. It is neutral enough that it goes with everything. You can find my affiliate link here.

I chose a rug that would follow the same color scheme of the wreath and my topiary’s on either side. You can see the rug link here. The rug is a bit thinner which is perfect fit for opening and closing my storm door. If I have a rug too thick, I struggle with opening, so this rug fits perfect as the 2nd rug layer.

Last but not least are my topiary’s that I keep out all year long. I LOVE these beautiful green accents because they go with every style and color of flowers and accents for all season. I especially love the decoration they make when you are in that time in between Christmas and Spring and your Christmas accents are down yet it is too early and cold to decorate with bright flowers.

You can find the link here for the topiary’s. I also love these topiary’s that are double. You can see them here. It depends on the size and space you have to fill on your front porch.

The Magic of Textures

Mixing and matching textures is not only essential for the inside of your home but your Spring Front Porch as well.

TIP: Gather at least 3 or 4 different textures and shaped for the front. Here you have the following textures:

  • The rocky white wall
  • The aged (but smooth) square black planter
  • A variety of different shapes and colors of flowers
  • Round wreath with the leafy fern
  • Rectangle Striped Rug

Brighten the Porch with Flowers

Number one above anything else bright beautiful flowers I feel absolutely make your front porch!

But just because I can do all colors everyday all day I do also love the simplistic look.

This front door is so beautiful on its own that it doesn’t need color to brighten it up, so I appreciate the simple green trees, door wreath, muted rugs and variety of planters.

And this front porch with a touch of my favorite blue hydrangeas.

Or the simplicity of the green ferns and green wreath with the touch of hot pink that makes this bright and ready to say hello to Spring!

Whether you prefer a classic look or something more simple or colorful, sprucing up your porch for the spring season is something that anyone can do. With the right color scheme, the use of textures, some bright flowers, a comfortable seating area and the perfect accessories, you can create a relaxing and inviting spring front porch.

Now that you know how to take your front porch from drab to fab for spring, why not give it a try? Get creative and make your porch the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the season.

My hope as always, that I inspired you!

Happy Spring front porch decorating!

Love,

Stephanie
