In this article, we will provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to make your very own clothespin carrots, as well as some creative ways to incorporate them into your home. And don’t worry, no crafting experience is required – anyone can do this!

SUPPLIES NEEDED

Clothespins

Folk Art Orange Paint Acrylic

Twine

Faux Greenery

Glue Gun

Step 1

Take apart the clothespin – This is simple to do. Just remove the little metal pieces by twisting it off.

Step 2

Glue the 2 back to back.

Step 3

Paint the clothespins orange

I just used a stamp ink to set them on to dry – Make sure to set them on something hard that the paint wont stick to as it drys.

STEP 4

Grab some faux greenery for the carrot tops. I used some of mine that I had laying around and just cut the grass pieces off them with a wire cutter. I used a couple different grasses and leaves for my carrots. I love the variety!

I left enough of the greenery, so I had enough to secure the greenery piece into place.

And glued it to give it strength and tied twine around the top.

I wrapped the twine around enough to hold them into place and secure them. I used 2 pieces on each side to fill the carrot top evenly with greenery. Glued each side and then wrapped the twine.

And they are SO cute when they are finished. You can make multiple clothespins and once to make the process go quicker and decorate with them in so many ways over the spring and summer!

Here is the quick video for you….

I accented them with my Spring Pots and decorated for my Easter table. You can find the blog post HERE for the colorful Spring pots!
