Supplies
Canvas
Gold Leaf Paint
Pink Wall Plaster
Apple Barrel Paint – Pool Blue
Folk Art Indigo Night -(navy paint color)
Step 1
I started with a 4 x 6 flat canvas board for this project, but any canvas board size will work!

Step 2
I painted the whole canvas with one coat of the pool blue acrylic paint.

Step 3
I put equal parts of the Indigo Navy paint and water in an old spray bottle. I squirted about three sprays with the square bottle in different parts over the canvas and hold it upright, so it would drip a little bit to give it a cool effect and then laid back down to dry.

Step 4
I took some pink plaster just on my finger and made one line down and one line across to make a simple cross. Don’t worry about this being too perfect. The whole fun part about this project is that it’s abstract which makes it look so interesting and unique!
After I did made the plaster cross, I wiped excess off my finger in different parts over the canvas to give it some different texture.

Step 5
I took the gold leaf liquid paint and a medium half inch paintbrush and brushed the textured parts with gold leaf liquid paint.

The rough weathered, but truly unique feel of this cross painting, symbolizes the journey of Christ’s day- This such a beautiful and perfect gift for the Easter season and time of year!! Jesus is the reason for “every” season.✝️
Happy Crafting!
