Supplies

4 boxes of Crayons

1 Glue Gun

Extra Glue Sticks

1 Box Stick Chalk

1 Framed Black Chalk Board

Scissors

I ordered a black chalk board off of Amazon and you can use my link here. This was the perfect size for my project. I wanted to make sure I had enough room for my apple, stem and to write her name.

First, I grabbed all my orange, red and pink shades so I couple create the apple and set those to the side.

I started shaping them out into the shape of an apple. You can use the chalk and draw out and apple for your guide if you want.

I cut the crayons I needed to and shaped out the apple. You can break them, but I found you get a cleaner edge with the scissors.

Once you have it all laid out the way you want I grabbed all my greens and a brown crayon for the stem and shaped them out. The trickest part was making sure it all fit together so I had enough room for the apple, stem and wording below.

Then I started gluing it all in place.

I glued one at a time, so it stayed in the shape I laid out originally.

Next you can grab you chalk and write a message, a name, your name, etc.

I played around a little bit with white paint because I wanted a longer message so I painted the words on their – “Mrs. Miller, Thank you for helping us grow.” You might even want to sign a class name to your board. So either the white chalk or acrylic paint would work great here!
