supplies

Wine corks

White acrylic paint

Paint brush

2 Twigs

1 Pair Socks

Black Beads

Orange petal or orange construction paper

tools

Glue gun

Step 1

Gather your wine corks. I used 21 wine corks of same height to be exact.

I shaped 2 balls – one for the head and one for the body. I used 6 for the head and the rest for the body

I put the flat side of the wine cork out front and started gluing them together.

I glued the top 7 first and then the bottom 14.

For the arms you can use real twigs or artificial off some faux flowers or florals. Whatever you have around will be perfect! Cut them so the length is good for the arms and fits your snowman. About 4-5″ is great to be precise.

Step 2: The arms

I used a little glue and put it in the crack where the stick would go. You will secure it inside 2 of the wine corks on the side of his body.
Repeat with the other side.
I used Waverly white chalk paint and paint all the front of the snowman. You can paint the entire wine cork areas of the snowman but I like to leave some of the raw wine corks showing so I only painted the front.

Step 3: Painting the Body

If you need 2 coats you can paint a second.
Next you will grab a pair of cute socks that you will use for his hat and scarf. I loved these blue and white sock I found in the Christmas section at Dollar tree because with these colors I can leave him out all
season.

Step 4: The Accessories

I cut the left of the sock to the heal to make a triangle for his hat.

I laid it opened and glued the end together to hold it together. You can sew the side of the hat instead if you prefer. This was just quicker for me, but I do feel like a simple sew job along the edge would have been better.

You should come out with a cute little triangle.

And the stretchiness of the sock will make it easy to put on his head. Just make sure the paint is dry!

He is look so cute so far. At this point I realized I do not want for him to have eyes so I am going to have the hat look like it is covering over his eyes as you would see a little kid like this. SO CUTE!

Then I took the longest part of the sock and cut about a inch strip. I wanted the longest part of the sock because I needed enough length so it could tie around his neck.

I carefully tied it around his neck with out breaking his little branch arms.

I had a left over orange flower from my recent Fall craft so I cut a petal to use for his nose. This was the perfect size and shape but you can also use construction or orange card stock paper for this.

Step 4: The Face & Body

I glued that on the middle wine cork for his nose. Then I gather some little beads I had to use for his mouth and shirt buttons. I glued these on. CAREFUL not to burn you fingers!

Sometimes when I am doing crafts, I see some things that need to be touched up like this nose. I grabbed some of my orange paint because I wanted to make his nose a little but more vibrant and this little paint touch up worked perfect.

The hat was another example that I thought needed something added to it too. I used what was left of the white on the sock to make a round ball to add to the top of his hat.

And he is finished. He will look so cute in so many places in your home. By a wine bar or bar sink would be perfect with the wine corks!

Finished

I added a little glitter snow on my table to accent him.
