Step by Step Guide on Making your DIY Champagne Glasses
You want to start always by wiping down your glasses with rubbing alcohol. This will give it a clean surface and your paint will adhere better to the clean glass.
Grab your paint tray or a paper plate for your enamel paints.
Pour your colors in that you will be using.
I started painting my glasses from the bottom up to know how far to go down with the paint. You want to go down to the bottom but not too far where the paint will smear.
I took the black and just made a line of dots from the bottom up to about half way up the glass.
I wiped off my brush and dipped my paint brush in the next color and paint the made dots going up the glass. I made my lines different lengths, and I alternated the colors so they looked like bubbles going up.
The lines are pretty easy and simple to do and you end up with great results at the end. If you are not the best painter or have a very steady hand these glasses are for you to try because they are very forgiving when it comes to uneven lines!
I tried my second glass with these Crafter’s sticks. I always paint with paint brushes and have for 15 years but when I was in Hobby Lobby over the holidays I saw these crafters sticks and picked them up to try! THEY ARE AWESOME for painting dots!
I followed the process as I did with the first glass and painted the dots the same colors, etc.
This time I painted just the black dots all around the glass leaving space for the other 3 colors. I liked this method because I wasn’t rinsing my paint brush as many times. This option was a little less time consuming.
When they are finished and dry you can put them in the oven at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Shut off the heat and let them completely dry in the oven for 2 hours. Take them out and they are ready to use!

With the 2 different ways to paint your dot champagne glasses for New Year’s I have found that the sticks were better and easier to use because the dots were more even than the paint brush. I am so happy I found these crafters paint sticks that I am sharing my affiliate link with you all here.
